Night meet at Pickens County Successful for Eagles

The Eagle cross country teams concluded their regular season with their last invitational meet against 20 schools at the Pickens & Grinnin’ Invitational in Jasper, GA and came away with a team race win, 2 team runner-up finishes and a 3rd place in their 4 races.

JV GIRLS
Milton (1st-31 pts out of 14 teams)
Junior Grace Lochman (3rd-22:28), junior Ashley Murray (4th-22:39), junior Ivy Rindt (7th-22:51) and freshman Medhya Sivaganesh (9th-22:58). 208 finishers were recorded.
JV BOYS
Milton (2nd-44 pts out of 19 teams)
Junior Robert Claypoole (5th-17:48), senior Parker Boys (6th-17:53), freshman Tyler Nix (9th-18:07) and junior Aviv Oshri (12th-18:24). There were 278 finishers.
VARSITY BOYS
Milton (2nd-96 pts out of 21 teams)
Senior captain Zach Patell (7th-16:31), junior Justin Sevel (8th-16:44), sophomore Everett Lawder (17th-17:09), sophomore Jayin Batra (28th-17:21) and freshman Will Chambers (36th-17:31). 187 finishers were scored.
VARSITY GIRLS
Milton (3rd-102 pts out of 18 teams)
Senior captain Ella Grace Malcom (4th-19:40), senior captain Calista Cacciatore (10th-19:53), senior Leelah Dennis (26th-21:02), senior captain Emerson Armistead (27th-21:02) and junior Macy Schadt (38th-21:19). There were 163 finishers.
With the regular season completed, the Eagles look towards the GHSA Region 6-7A championship meet, which will be run this Friday, October 20th at Chattahoochee Pointe Park in Suwanee, GA, hosted by Lambert HS. The top-4 finishing teams & top-6 individual finishers in the Varsity races will qualify for the GHSA 7A State Championship Meet to be held on Saturday, November 4th at Carrollton Elementary School in Carrollton, GA.
