Juniors Sam Bowers & Michael Malkowski along with senior Marie Repasy, have been selected by Atlanta Track Club on their 53rd All-Metro Cross Country team for 2016.

The All-Metro selection of three Eagle runners is the most in one season and the most since 2012 when two were selected. The ceremony took place tonight in mid-town Atlanta hosted by Atlanta Track Club. The All-Metro selection is a group of 21 girls and boys from the Atlanta metropolitan area who had had exemplary season in cross country this fall. Atlanta Track Club’s longest running tradition honors the best high school cross country runners in the area with banquet & award ceremony.
Milton’s three honorees were only topped by five representatives from the Marist School. The Eagles selected were led by junior Sam Bowers. Bowers, the Fulton County, region/Area & State 7A champion was selected as the Jeff Benton Award winner as the Most Outstanding male runner this season. Bowers also had wins at the Early Bird Invite, Atlanta Classic & Double Dip Invitationals.
Junior Michael Makowski was also honored. The junior Eagle had runner-up finishes at the Fulton County & region/area meets & was 6th in the &A state championship race. Malkowski also placed 3rd at the Early Bird, 4th at the Double Dip & 5th at the Furman Univ Invitationals.
The Lady Eagles were represented with senior Marie Repasy. The Georgia Tech commit was 6th in the state 7A championship race to match her finish from 2015. Repasy was also Fulton County champion, finished 3rd at the Furman Invitational, 4th at region/area championship & 5th at the Coach Wood invitational.
