Our coaches have been in communication with Fulton County Schools about summer practice for fall sports and it looks like our Captain’s Summer Runs will be on hold at least until after dead week (June 28 – July 4). We learned that one Fulton County XC team has been reported for training in a large group and not practicing social distancing. While running on your own isn’t as fun as with the team, please be sure to adhere to the guidelines. You are welcome to run with a couple of friends, but please practice social distancing with yourselves and other runners/walkers.
For those new to cross country, we wanted to provide a list of local parks, trails available for our athletes to train on. We are hoping to have our captains available on different days to allow 2-3 new MXC runners to learn these training routes with a captain and to help add some variety to their training. Look for a signupgenius link soon.
