As the mother of a former Milton cross country runner, I fell in love with the program and I am beyond thrilled to now be a member of the coaching staff. I began running at a very young age in order to more spend time with my dad. However, my love of running really started about 26 years ago when I went to work for a local podiatrist who specialized in sports medicine. I was constantly inspired by the perseverance and accomplishments of our patients. Their stories motivated me to become a more dedicated runner. I ran my first 5k in 1992 and since then I have run 5 marathons and more 1/2 marathons, 10k’s and 5k’s than I can begin to count. I feel very fortunate that my husband and children appreciate the sport and have even allowed me to “coach” them through some of their running firsts. I hope that my passion for the sport and my love of the Milton Cross Country program comes across as I join this successful team and coaching staff.
